Dream Hills 2 is just a short drive from two main airports - Murcia San Javier (approx 20 mins drive) and Alicante (40 mins approx). The choice of airports allows you to work within your budget as well as consider a range of dates and flight times.
Alicante is the larger airport and flights to/from this airport are more plentiful and often a little bit cheaper. However, Murcia (technically in Costa Calida) is a little closer and whilst flights are not as readily available, especially in the winter, it is always worth checking to see if you fly to/from Murcia.
What about when you’ve landed? We would recommend that you rent a car when staying at Dream Hills II. Not only is renting a car highly cost-effective compared to organising transfers (which we can do for you if you want) it also allows you to get around more easily.
If you do decide to drive yourself from the airport, then the journey from either Murcia or Alicante airport is very straightforward with main roads all the way. We will provide you with detailed directions in plenty of time before you depart in order to make this process straightforward as possible. Please note that you may be required to use a toll road (max cost of 4 euros) so ensure that you either have some euros to hand or a credit / debit card (for further information, see the Flights & Car Rental page).
If you don't fancy renting a car then you can organise transfers from either Alicante or Murcia. They will greet you at the airport and take you straight to the apartment. Alternatively, there is now a bus service direct from Alicante to Torrevieja bus station. You can then either get another bus from there or maybe get a taxi for the last stage of the journey. If you would like more information on this bus service, please let us know.
Having arrived safe and sound, in order to get around there are a number of taxi companies in the area and they will easily transport you to/from the beach, commercial centres, etc. Furthermore, with the area being so popular with Brits you will also find that language is not a major barrier. Alternatively, you can also make the best of the local bus service. The link below will take you to the community website and give you the up-to-dateBus Information.
- Taking Occupancy
We know that flights to / from the UK may mean that your flight times are not ideal for 'standard' check-in/out arrangements so we try and be as flexible as we can.
Generally, you need to vacate the apartment by no later than 11am on the day of your departure, whilst on arrival you may not be able to access the apartment until 4pm onwards. However, if there aren't back-to-back rentals then you are welcome to take occupancy straight away and similarly stay in the apartment until you are ready to head for the airport for your return flight.
We will advise when you book if it will be a back-to-back rental and if there are any changes after you have booked we'll let you know a.s.a.p.
- Additional Information:
If you would like a welcome pack to be available to you on arrival, please let us know. This will be prepared for you by our property management company and may be particularly beneficial if you will be arriving when shops and supermarkets are likely to be closed. Packs can range from more standard, basic items such as bread, water, milk, etc to also include beer, wine, etc and more food items if required.
If your group includes young children who may require a cot, this can be arranged for you at an additional cost. Please advise us of your requirements and we can let you know the price. Similarly, if you have children who may be prone to bed-wetting please advise and we can arrange for appropriate bed clothing to avoid any damage to the bed(s).
